My mission is to glorify God by reflecting his character and making disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus.
I have been working in full time vocational ministry since May of 2010, and have served in various ministry areas, including fitness & recreation, college, missions, assimilation, adult discipleship, and community outreach. In July of 2017, I became an ordained minister through Houston’s First Baptist Church and am currently serving as Minister of Outreach & Spiritual Formation at the Downtown Campus.
Before entering full-time ministry, I graduated from Rutgers University (New Brunswick) in May of 2009 with a B.S. in Exercise Science & Sport Studies: Sports Management and a Minor in Psychology. During my college years, I gained work experience with the New York Mets, Hudson Valley Renegades (a minor league affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays), and Global Sports & Entertainment Agency in New Jersey. Upon graduation, I moved to Houston, TX as a Teach for America Corps Member, becoming certified to teach grades K-4.
I am married to my godly and lovely wife, Karenie, and we have two incredible boys named Micah and Caleb. From July 2015-August 2018, we lived in a manufactured home (mobile home) community, consisting of over 200 family units, where we coordinated monthly events to serve the residents and create a healthy community culture of love and care for one another. Today, we live in a suburb of Houston, TX and our goal is to love God and love others in our daily lives.
